Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse : le cadre est idyllique avec vue sur le pont du Gard et les collines, la piscine est exceptionnelle et le gîte est parfaitement équipé, décoré avec goût, il ne manque rien que ce soit en cuisine ou dans les chambres. Sarah est une hôte très attentionnée, qui a le sens du détail. Un grand merci pour ces douces vacances.

A beautiful and incredibly tasteful place to stay! The accommodation is exceptionally kitted out with high quality amenities, bed linens, showers and kitchen. The bathroom is a highlight and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable with good air conditioning and beautiful doors onto a private patio. The pool and outside areas are a real gem, during some hot days the pool is ideal to lounge around on the many sun loungers and the shaded seating spot provided the perfect respite to the summer sun. The plancha/bbq area was great to use for some evenings in and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to have some lovely dinners at home. The views of the Pont du Gard are exceptional, especially in the evening.

Sarah’s attention to detail is exemplified throughout the beautiful apartment and she was kindly on hand to assist with any questions and advice. We were welcomed with a beautiful box of of fresh fruit, pastries, rose and charcuterie and she was quick to advise us where to go for the best local boulangeries and local restaurants in the charming village of Castillon du Gard and all the local town markets.

We enjoyed fantastic days out to Uzes, Saint Remy, Nimes, Eygalieres and a spectacular canoe trip under the Pont du Gard. Sarah ensured that we were advised on the timings, parking, opening hours etc – key info! There was something to do every single day of our visit and I cannot recommend this beautiful accommodation and stunning area enough!

A wonderful week at Les Rossignols. We’ll certainly be coming back. 1 week wasn’t enough to soak all that this part of the world has to offer.

The apartment is well laid-out and beautifully furnished, with everything you could possibly need.

The pool area is excellent – the pool is huge and the perfect temperature, there are plenty of loungers, and a handy shaded area. We spent much of the week enjoying an apero by the pool as the sun set over the hills, followed by snacking on saucisson and cheese into the early hours.

It is very quiet and feels very private. Sarah also does a wonderful job of making you feel welcome. She is equally happy leaving you to it or providing recommendations on things to do – thanks to her help, we knew the best restaurants to book, went canoeing under the Pont du Gard and the best markets to go to.

The location of Les Rossignols is fab – you can walk up to lovely restaurants in the town itself, and there is an excellent bakery only 5 mins drive away.

You’re also well located to explore the surrounding area – during our week, we visited Nimes, St Remy, Uzes and Egalieres.

Many things made me fall in love with the South of France upon my first visit, Les Rossignols was one of them.

Its short walk to Castillon-du-Gard, large pool, stunning view of the countryside and Pont-du-Gard in the distance make it a location I will always associate with peace away from the stress of a work-fuelled city. After sampling the local bistros for dinner it provides as ideal a setting for stargazing in the evening as it does a morning dip in the pool with some fresh pastries.

Even for those who like to explore a bit more, its short drive time to Uzes or Nîmes still make it an ideal hub for all type of traveller.

Sarah is one of the loveliest and most helpful hosts, providing tips on where to go and when, what to do and what not to do, making your trip devoid of the typical tourist traps.

Sarah’s love of the area and commitment to her guests is also reflected in the property, with a modern yet authentic touch throughout.

I cannot wait to visit again!
